Unix: split and cat →
split is a Unix utility most commonly used to split a file into two or more smaller files.
split -b 100m source_file output_file
The -b flag specifies the size of the chunks, in this case 100MB. The source and output files can include directory paths. Then, to re-combine the chunks:
cat chunkaa chunkab chunkac > filename
or
cat chunka[a-c] > filename
